I provide a warm, collaborative, and compassionate approach to therapy. With over 16 years’ experience of counselling people from a wide range of ages and diverse backgrounds, I aim to offer counselling that helps you to work through whatever challenges you are currently experiencing in life and reflect on any changes you may have been thinking about. For example, you may be experiencing a life situation which feels overwhelming or challenging. Perhaps you are struggling with bereavement, loss, low self-esteem, anxiety or depression, or difficulties in a relationship. Together we can explore your feelings in a safe, confidential space, helping you to find fresh perspectives and a way forward.
My early training was in Adlerian Individual Psychology where encouragement and hope are at the core of the counselling relationship. I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor. This is an approach which acknowledges that individuals are unique, and that life experiences are different for everyone. As an Integrative therapist, I draw on different approaches to meet your individual needs.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited and Registered member of the BACP and abide by the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions 2018.
I am also a Level 2 Professional Member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy online (ACTO).
If you have made the decision that now is the right time to talk to a counsellor, you have made the first step in gaining a better understanding of yourself and the difficulties you are dealing with. I aim to offer counselling that provides a supportive and confidential space for you to talk about whatever has been troubling you without judgement. Together we can work towards helping you to manage or resolve your difficulties and to help you move forward. For more information see here.
I am a qualified and experienced Supervisor working with Counsellors and other Health Professionals who are working with adults or young people over the age of 18. I have also supervised many counsellors working in Higher Education and have extensive working knowledge of counselling and supervision in this sector. The relationship with your Supervisor is an important one and I aim to provide an open and collaborative working relationship to help you feel supported in your work. For more information see here.
I am currently working online via Zoom, but as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and it feels safe to do so, I will be offering in-person counselling and supervision at:
Coach House Health Care
The Courtyard, Anstey Hall
Maris Lane, Trumpington
Cambridge
CB2 9LG
www.coachhousehealthcare.co.uk
I will also continue to offer counselling and supervision online.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works or to arrange an initial 20 minute telephone appointment at no charge. This will enable us to discuss the reasons you are considering counselling and if it could be helpful for you. It will also help us to consider if I am the right counsellor to help. If not, I will do my best to provide information about other support that may be more appropriate for you.
I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
