I have significant experience of working as a Supervisor with experienced and trainee counsellors. I supervise counsellors and other professionals working in the helping professions who are working with adults or young people over the age of 18. My supervision work includes counsellors and health professionals in the University of Cambridge, NHS and the charity sector as well as with counsellors working in private practice.
I offer an open and collaborative approach to supervision and recognise the importance of offering therapists a safe and non-judgemental space to reflect on their work. I aim to offer supervision which is both challenging, yet supportive, helping you to consider fresh insights into your work.
As both a counsellor and supervisor, I am trained in an Integrative approach and work with supervisees across different therapeutic models.
I am a Senior Accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions 2018.
In 2016 I qualified with a Diploma in Supervision accredited by the Institute for Individual Psychology (ASIIP) with Cambridge Supervision Training (CST). I also volunteered as an Accredited Supervisor with Cruse Bereavement Care after completing training in Group Supervision in 2012. I facilitated Supervision Groups at Cruse Bereavement Care in Cambridge for several years.
I have also facilitated long-term Reflective Practice groups for individuals working in other professions including nurses and support staff in Higher Education. I welcome enquiries from organisations regarding Reflective Practice sessions for staff.
The working relationship with your Supervisor is an important one, so to help you make the right choice, I offer an initial 30-minute Zoom or telephone appointment at no charge so that we can decide if we are a good fit to work together. Please feel free to telephone or email me to arrange an initial meeting, or to find out more about supervision with me.
